Custom Place Cards
-
I often get asked about place cards, seating cards, escort cards, whatever you want to call them (there is a technical difference, but it’s really neither here nor there…), there are a couple of ways to tie them into your custom invitations. What you decide will depend on your budget and how much you like to D.I.Y. (or not).
Seating Charts are becoming an increasingly popular way to let your guests know where they are seated as well. But for now, I’ll focus on the place cards.
Custom Place Cards with Printed Guest Names (see example on the right side of the photo below)
These will have a design element from your invitations (or whatever you like) featured on each card, and each couple’s name and table assignment is printed right on the card at the same time. All you have to do is send a list of names and table assignments. I also include a few without names in case of last-minute changes.Custom Place Cards – Blank (see example on the left side of the photo below
Well…not completely blank. For this type of place card, I will create a design that coordinates with the rest of your wedding extras and accessories but leave the main area blank for you to write in the names and table numbers, or have them written in by a calligrapher.Truly Blank Place Cards
You can order completely blank, but cut and scored, place cards to use as you wish. This way, the papers will match any of your previous custom designs.Paper for Place Cards
You can also order paper that matches the rest of your wedding papers to create your own place cards. Maximum DIY, minimum cost.
