I had so much fun emailing with Crystal about ideas on how exactly to use the passport for her reception. She knew she wanted to include them somehow, and knew she wanted a few things: place cards, a thank you message of some sort for her guests, and a keepsake of their wedding.

The idea evolved over time – from a program, to a menu, considered adding other elements – and landed on the passport serving as the keepsake with a thank you message inside, and using the boarding pass as place cards. I love the set used this way for a reception. Imagine how fun it would be for your guests when they arrive at the reception to be greeted by a sparkling passport and boarding pass directing them to their seats!

Crystal printed on clear labels for the top of the boarding passes with each guest’s name and “destination” (in the blank area towards the top). I created a template for her to follow so they were integrated with the design. I can also print names directly on the cards if you’d rather not do it yourself.

Another new feature about this passport is that it has fewer inside pages to worry about filling with content.

As a side note though (because this is the driving force anytime I’ve been asked),  although there are fewer pages inside than my other passports, the cost is the same. It requires the same amount of paper, printing and assembly work as my Option 2 Passports. So this is a good idea if you simply like the look, or don’t want to think about filling up extra pages with wording.

I used Ruby metallic paper for the covers – one of my very favorites. (Also love that this photo really shows off the sparkle). It is accented with two other shades of lavender for a wonderful tone-on-tone look.
