What’s Ahead

January 11th, 2010

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything – not enough hours in the day to get to photographing the back-log of 100+ invitations, save the dates and wedding-day extras from the past year alone.

A small sampling of projects in the works …

  • Lots of Passport Invitations and Save the Dates are currently in progress, in so many shades and themes the studio looks like a {designer} crayon box!
  • Boarding Pass Invitations and Save the Dates in great beachy designs and some lovely floral designs too.
  • Mini Boarding Pass Save the Dates to coordinate with Passport Invitations – I love creating coordinated sets for the whole wedding!
  • Pocket invitations with a bit of a chess theme.
  • Amazing black and platinum lace-fringed save the dates and invitations.
  • Papel Picado-themed invitations and wedding-day extras – so fun!
  • Valentine’s Day wedding extras – uber-themed and elegant.

And CPW stuff to look out for …

  • Website is {and has been for some time, ahem!} in progress of being redesigned.
  • New invitations posted – so much to show off!
  • Look for Custom Paper Works around town – we’ll be here and there.
  • New mini-line of invitations for  mmum mummm mumm {not telling yet!}

Don’t forget to reserve your March and April Design Start Dates now – they’re booking up fast. If you are mailing invitation in May or June, you’ll need a March or April Start Date to allow plenty of time for your custom invitations to be completed.

Have a great week!

A sneak peek at what’s been going on at CPW…

So many projects have been completed since last fall that I haven’t had time to post, and lots still in the works!

I’ll try to keep this post updated frequently with new projects.

A smile a day…

January 8th, 2009

Happy New Year! I want to thank all of my clients over the last year for allowing me to create your invitations. It’s been a great joy to have hit the ground running so quickly!

I have many people to thank for their help and support. Family, old friends, new friends — and many of you who I have only met over email or met  briefly to look at swatches or deliver invitations.  Just about everyone is accounted for with their photos on the blog  (or will be as soon as I catch up – I’m still working on photographing everything).  I want to also thank the very special people who have become the unofficial Custom Paper Works cheering section – you know who you are! – who continue to spread the word and recommend CPW to everyone they know at the first mention of any event requiring paper goods! I appreciate it so very much.

It frequently happens that a customer makes me laugh or smile, through an email or note, and brightens the day no matter how busy I may be. I really appreciate those times when someone has gone out of their way for a second to let their personality show through in the midst of invitation proofs and details, and I’m sure a lot of other sorts of chaos in the midst of wedding planning.

Today I got a check in the mail from Emily, whose invitations will be complete soon. The message in the “note” section made me smile and I had to share it. I hope that everyone is this excited to get their invitations! : )
