A couple moths ago I hinted at a new feature available on my Passport Invitations. Here it is…

Actually there are TWO new features – an amazing new paper, and a pocket in the back of the passport booklet to hold rsvp cards.

Lena needed two separate response cards, one for her destination ceremony and larger at-home reception, and a second for a smaller, intimate gathering for close family – along with a response envelope for the instances when two cards would be mailed back. What better way to package all these elements up nicely than a pocket inside the passport!

The cover is a luxurious new gold metallic linen .. great texture and shimmer.

The elegant cream inside pages feature a muted orange starfish, and lots of information for the guests.

This invitation is also a great example of how I love to provide each client with a unique look, even if it is inspired by another one of my invitations. Lena loved the blue and green starfish invitation shown in this post to the right ————–>
but wanted a more formal look, and of course her color scheme. Feel free to think outside the box when browsing my invitations, just about anything can be changed to your liking!

The pocket also provided a fun punch of color that integrated their secondary wedding color.
I love how the cards are tiered and allow the envelope color to peek out.

Celia’s invitations are so luxurious-looking. The photos don’t do the papers justice!

And it certainly doesn’t hurt we share a certain monogram configuration ; )
But I promise that’s not why I’m in love with them…

The cover in a gorgeous deep blue metallic sets off the gold foil and provides an authentic passport look. The inside pages are a beautiful shimmery sand/khaki color which is a bit darker than the photos show. Combination – STUNNING. The deep rose red tops it off and ties into the wedding colors.

Alvin and Belle had a creative idea to incorporate the passport booklet into their wedding day. The guests had already been invited and rsvp’s counted, but they wanted a unique keepsake that was useful for their guests while traveling to their Siena, Italy wedding. There are so many amazing features to this invitation so settle in and don’t miss a single one!

I created an elegant passport-styled travel guide that was mailed to their guests just weeks before the wedding. Extra pages were added to reach a total of 10 pages containing the visa and invitation wording page, a schedule of events, where the bride and groom could be found throughout the week, a list of favorite restaurants and cafes, a wedding-day timeline … even internet access information.

Since an rsvp card was not needed, and there was still more information to include, I suggested using the separate card to hold a list of phone numbers and a thorough list of common phrases translated into Italian. That way, guests can tuck the card into a wallet for easy reference while touring the city!

While I have created many passport invitations with gold foil-stamped covers, this is the first to officially hit the blog!

Foil-stamped covers give the invitations an extra level of passport styling and look so SO luxurious, especially when printed on a rich textured matte cover. They end up looking like a real passport cover – but BETTER! What the photos don’t show at all is the amazing white metallic paper which looks like your usual high-quality white paper until it’s in dimmer light and reflects an insane amount of gold shimmer seemingly from nowhere!

Even guests at their at-home reception were able to join the fun when the passports were used as table accents.

Jessica is known for making her special Madellines. Being such a hot item, they were the thank you gift for guests at her engagement party. I designed these ultra-elegant recipe cards based on the tear-off rsvp card idea: one side of the card is a thank you message, the other tears off so the recipe card fits into a standard 4×6 recipe box! The pink and gold colors and the fleur de lis watermark border fit with the Marie Antoinette / Paris theme of the party.

Jessica originally ordered the boarding passes to use as her save-the-dates, but ultimately decided to use them for her engagement party invitations instead, and had a very clear vision of what she wanted: a Paris and love theme with romantic stamps, in red and blue so that they coordinated with the ever-famous air-mail envelopes.

If there’s one thing that gets attention in the mail, it’s an air-mail envelope. The tear-off rsvp card makes it simple for guests to reply, though I have heard stories about invitees not wanting to send it back!

I was able to help Melissa out when the original designer she had booked suddenly went MIA, and I had so much fun working with her to create these invitations. She wanted a bright, bold, tropical and flowery boarding pass set. Her orange and pink color combination and hibiscus theme made it easy!

Another unique feature is the clear frosted holder that can be used a variety of ways to hold the boarding passes, and custom return address labels for the envelopes. One of my new favorites! (I feel like I’m saying that a lot lately while I re-live the past year of invitations through blogging)…

Boarding passes can be slipped into the cut-out on the front of the frosted holder (think what you actually get at the airport), or placed into the two pockets inside.

I adore her color combination of the medium blue metallic and light green. The wording throughout ensures guests know it’s truly a real beach wedding, bare feet and all, and that everyone should be prepared to party until the sun comes up the next day! Their two dogs also received a mention as the “Boxers of Honor.” There is no doubt Erica and John’s wedding is going to be a great time.
