Celia’s invitations were show-stoppers. One of the most luxurious-looking passport wedding invitations I’ve created to date, thanks to the rich and bold color scheme and gold foil-stamped covers. While her invitation covers were stamped with gold for an authentic look, silver was the accent for her wedding day.

I custom-designed a die-cut fan which was foil-stamped with silver.

Foil-stamping is amazing but not cost-effective when you need only a single card. But we weren’t going to only go half way and ditch the silver for the table name cards! A calligrapher was able to match the rustic font in silver ink to continue the look (more on this later)!

The seating chart picked up the stamp designs from her invitations. The 11×17 chart size is perfect for smaller destination weddings.

Her wedding extras continue the elegant tropical theme with their monogram and marine-life accents.

Unfortunately, these photos were all taken shortly after my camera was left in the rain. They just might go down in history as the worst photos of one of the best sets of Extras EVER.

I still wanted to show them off because Jennifer really took advantage of customizing and coordinating so many wedding-day accents.

Welcome Bag Tags coordinate with the bright orange and pink bags that Jennifer had purchased.

Signature drink and appetizer tent-cards greeted guests at cocktail hour. I love that their dog Lilly was the inspiration for their Signature Drink “Lilly’s Jamaican Blues,” because she was so sad she couldn’t be there!

The two-layer place cards (ultimately tied to starfish) greeted each guest.

Tables were named after beach and marine life with a sketch-like illustration accenting the cards.

Menu cards featured the monogram which was originally featured on the invitations.

Square folded programs were accented with their monogram and luxe gold tassels.

One of her favors were custom travel mugs! I designed a modified version of their monogram especially for them.

Francine’s passport invitations are one of my favorites for a few reasons – though many have inquired about it, she was the first to use the gold foil stamp on the front covers! Combined with the cool blue and green color scheme, they’re airy and tropical, fitting for their wedding on Boracay Island in the Philippines.

While I haven’t had a moment to photograph her invitations myself , Francine sent me a link to their videographer’s blog with their video – one of the best I have seen, I just love it! (I promise it has nothing to do with her invitations being the lead-in!)

In addition to the passports, I created programs, place cards and table numbers to coordinate the wedding. I’ll post photos soon, but in the mean time, you simply MUST see the beautiful video that was created for this special couple by Mayad Studios.

Boarding pass invitations are an obvious choice when you’re having a destination wedding. But I also do many boarding pass and passport invitations when the location is close to the bride and groom, and most of the GUESTS will be traveling to the wedding.

When Helina asked for gold paper, I sent her the soft gold swatches that are most often selected. But when she came back and said, “what do you have that’s GOLD GOLD … BRIGHT GOLD?”, I knew the perfect color. This metallic paper is bright, sunny, and so cheery!

When talking with Elly, many questions I asked her about what sort of style she wanted, or for her opinion on certain ideas, always got the same response: “whatever you do, it has to be ultra-elegant and sophisticated, and over the top.”

So her passports are pure elegance on the ultra-rich gold and shimmery cream papers, lined envelopes with printed mailing addresses, and a ribbon for the cover. And since the wedding location was tricky to get to, a detailed directions sheet was added and inserted into the envelope along with the passport and rsvp card, so that the invitation iteslf would not be ruined when guests were taking the directions with them. Custom stamps for the outer envelopes and rsvp cards completed the set.

Passport invitations are certainly fun, yes, but they can also retain a traditional sophisticated feel as well.

I had been chatting with Mia on and off about her tangerine reception items when she called and told me that she found the tangerine paper that she wanted to use, a heavy card stock with metallic waves embossed onto the page. GORGEOUS!

And such was her wedding, and she had photos taken of her paper goodies and was kind enough to share them with me. (Especially since I haven’t had a moment to shoot my latest projects! ) The scroll theme is simple, clean and elegant, and we used it on the programs, place cards, menus and sparkling cider bottle wraps.

The outside of the programs are the metallic wave-textured paper with a metallic band around the outside. The content page is attached inside.

Place Cards

Yes, this is actually a beautiful shot at the centerpiece. But you can get a glimpse of the sparkling cider bottle wraps and the menu card tucked into the napkins…

Menu Cards

And of course the thank you cards to coordinate…

I was excited to finally get to put Sara’s programs together, because she was the first to do a blue passport that closely replicates the look of an actual passport. Her wedding colors were blue and green, and we brought the green in while still maintaining the blue look from her invitations.
