The swirl design on the band wrap flows to the back of the invitation, and frames the guest mailing addresses on the envelopes.

Inserts are tucked into the band behind the main invitation panel for a cohesive package.

Response card with envelope and accommodations card – fun elegant wording really caught guests’ attention: “__ Accepts with pleasure and looking forward to dining, dancing and celebrating; __ Will regrettably miss the fun. So many guests sent comments back on the rsvp cards about how excited they were to attend. I’m sure the wording played a huge part in this!

Kristen and John enjoy visiting wineries and wine tasting and decided to name their tables after wines instead of just numbers – so fun!

Guests will be greeted with place cards serving several purposes – the cards will be held in frames (their wedding favors), directing them to their seat, and also to the photo booth.

And of course, special keepsake place cards for the newlyweds! (Last names have been changed of course).

Another unique feature is the clear frosted holder that can be used a variety of ways to hold the boarding passes, and custom return address labels for the envelopes. One of my new favorites! (I feel like I’m saying that a lot lately while I re-live the past year of invitations through blogging)…

Boarding passes can be slipped into the cut-out on the front of the frosted holder (think what you actually get at the airport), or placed into the two pockets inside.

So her passports are pure elegance on the ultra-rich gold and shimmery cream papers, lined envelopes with printed mailing addresses, and a ribbon for the cover. And since the wedding location was tricky to get to, a detailed directions sheet was added and inserted into the envelope along with the passport and rsvp card, so that the invitation iteslf would not be ruined when guests were taking the directions with them. Custom stamps for the outer envelopes and rsvp cards completed the set.

Passport invitations are certainly fun, yes, but they can also retain a traditional sophisticated feel as well.

Coordinated Extras continue the theme throughout your wedding with pine tree table numbers, donation cards, programs and seating cards.

Going through my invitation portfolio, both she and Rob were immediately drawn to the Z-Card wrap with the vellum band wrap that holds the enclosure cards in place, at the same time it holds the closed invitation together. Well, I think Rob was more drawn to the workings of the vellum wrap than anything, and after much debate, he got his band wrap!

I love the custom stamps that show off a little bit of the design on the front of the envelope, and the “R.S.V.P.” stamp on the response card is so cute, but still as elegant as the rest of the invitation.

The custom thank you cards carry out the theme.

And the extras carried out the design as well. A photograph of the Gazebo at the Dearborn Inn was turned into the sketch artwork for the cover of the program. The place cards featured the damask pattern in the corner to pick up the theme from the invitations.

I love it when the couple’s personality really shows through their invitation. Their photo-booth-strip seal and poem on the outside of the envelope leave no doubt that they have put a lot of thought into making sure their wedding is extra special to both themselves AND their guests.

She’s giving each of her guests a travel guide book for her destination wedding and wanted to cover up the bright and busy covers of them as they would be sitting at the place settings at the reception.

A full book sleeve is the solution, which serves several design challenges for her: ties in the invitations through the use of the faux passport stamps; color-coordinates her tables and place settings and provides a more elegant look than the original book covers; and provides space for a personal thank you message.

1. Quantity. Be sure to include some extras for keepsakes and last-minute guest list additions.

2. Format and Details. Are you in love with the pocket-folds or do you prefer a traditional panel invitation? Are you looking for a particular type of printing?
