Skills Checklist for Nature School Students

We adore seeing the ways our clients use their passports. This forest school is using our custom-printed novelty passport books as part of an enrichment program that highlights important skills and core values each student will work on throughout a few years of attending the school.

We adapted the school logo to work as a 1-color gold foil imprint on the front cover, and pulled fonts from the client-supplied page designs to create a coordinating cover design. The passport is an outline of a supplemental homeschool program for students and parents to guide themselves through. It starts with a simple instruction page at the front of the book.

Inside, the skill checklist pages are divided into categories, each with their own custom section-start page with an inspirational quote. The checklist pages that follow each have brief descriptions of the skills and values to be learned, and checked off as the work is completed.

We use heavy-weight 17-pt vinyl covers for our Vinyl Passports and heavier-weight pages inside so they are able to withstand longer-term use by kids or adults. Many others use a “faux vinyl cover” which is actually paper with a textured coating that tears easily and doesn’t last as long. Usually they don’t disclose this difference either, so be sure to ask – especially for Passport Books that you will be used for a longer period of time. (We can also use the less-costly faux vinyl covers on request, just ask).
